1.     Present tense is used most, even though the paper is based off of an event that happened in the past, because it is mostly discussing the effects of it and how it affects the present to relate more to the audience.
2.     By using the present tense, it commands immediacy of the subject. It also engages the audience more as the subject is given more importance due to the currency of the event.

3.     Present, past, and future tenses were used in the piece. In the beginning, more past tense verbs were used to describe the event when it first happened. As the piece moves along, it transitions smoothly to the present to show the affects that occur because of the event and some future is also mixed in to compare the effects of this present and evolving technology on more advancements to come in the future.
